Monthly Journal of Chinese Affairs, 72(2) 21-37, Feb, 2018 Peer-reviewedThe purpose of this paper is to show the actual situation of Chinese language education in the Toa Dobun Shoin college by analyzing the Chinese textbook: KAGO SUIHEN (華語萃編) vol. 1 that was used for the first grade of students of this college established in Shanghai, 1901.<br /> This college was mainly for Japanese student to grow the business man dealing with the trade between Japan and China. So, it was needed to educate the Chinese Language.<br /> At the beginning half of this College, Chinese textbooks were KAGO KIHO (華語跬歩)edited by Japanese Masabumi OBATA, and then PEKIN KANWA SEIONFU (北京官話声音譜) edited by Japanese Seiji TAKAHASHI and PEKIN KANWA KYOUKASHO (北京官話教科書) edited by Chinese Zhu Yincheng who were the teachers of this College.<br /> Through these process, new specialized textbook of Chinese KAGO SUIHEN vol. 1 was edited by Japanese and Chinese teachers in 1916 and used for the first grade student of this college.<br /> This textbook had more and more advanced to get the changing situation of social and language fields of China revising five times, and developed to contribute the more promote business education.<br /> As a result, after growing up to the University of this college in 1939, the education of Chinese academic field.

Tokyo : Fuji Shuppan, Mar, 2023 (ISBN: 9784835087504)Toa Dobun Shoin College was established in Shanghai in 1901 with the aim of promoting cultural exchange between Japan and China. Toa Dobun Shoin College created a Chinese language textbook "Kago Suihen" and used it for Chinese language education. This textbook was also used at Aichi University, which was established in Toyohashi Japan in 1946. This book is a reissue of the Aichi University edition of " Kago Suihen" with added Chinese pronunciation and a complete translation into Japanese. It serves as a valuable resource for understanding Chinese language education during the pre-war period and the cultural lifestyle of that time.

愛知大学東亜同文書院大学記念センター設立30周年記念講演会 愛知大学と東亜同文書院大学編纂中国語教科書『華語萃編』初集, Jul 29, 2023, 愛知大学東亜同文書院大学記念センター戦前、上海にあった東亜同文書院大学では独自の中国語教科書『華語萃編』（かごすいへん）が作られ中国語教育で大きな成果をあげていました。東亜同文書院大学は敗戦によって閉学することを余儀なくされましたが、その『華語萃編』による中国語教育は後身校である愛知大学に受けつがれ、さらに愛知大学が誇る『中日大辞典』編纂の原動力となりました。 今回は、東亜同文書院大学と愛知大学の学生たちが学んだ『華語萃編』がどのような教科書だったのか、それによってどのように教育が行われていたのかを紹介します。

2022年度豊橋市民大学トラム愛知大学オープンカレッジ「愛知大学のドラマチックな誕生物語と創設期の卒業生たち」, Dec 17, 2022, 豊橋市教育委員会 愛知大学 Invited東亜同文書院はビジネススクールとして中国語は必須であり、中国語教育は大きな目標であった。そのベースには中日辞典づくりが不可欠な事業となり『華日辞典』の編纂が開始され、多くの語彙カードが作成されたが、敗戦で中止され、それを戦後返還されることで愛知大学で簡体字も含め新編纂され、13年を費やして『中日大辞典』が完成した。その経緯と、それにともなう中国語教育の展開を紹介する。

日清貿易研究所から東亜同文書院へ, Mar 16, 2019, 愛知大学東亜同文書院大学記念センター Invited東亜同文書院の前身は日清貿易研究所であるという認識は、当事者間では自明であった。共通する人物が両校に深く関わっていたからである。しかし、法的・組織的な連続性はとくにない。そうした関係について、本報告では、東亜同文書院院長根津一による卒業生推薦の書翰を手がかりにして考えていく。その過程では、教育と戦争・国際化社会・キャリア形成等、当時の教育問題が関わってくるだろう。さらに、根津一が軍人であったことに注目すると、軍隊や政治の動きも視野に入ってくるだろう。そうした多面的な考察をする過程で両校の関係を浮かび上がらせていきたい。

中国文芸研究会, 2003日本の植民地であった台湾での民俗学・民族学研究の位置づけを考察した。ミンゾク学といっても、在地の習慣実態を目標とする民俗学と、対象となる人々を一つの民族集団として研究する民族学の二つの姿勢に分別することができる。日本の台湾におけるミンゾク学は、民俗学的眼差しがあるものであっても、支配者として被支配者を日本化することが目的であり、観察する過程で政治的にもなりうる民族学とならざるをえなかった。

｢満洲国」文学研究会第1回定例研究会, Sep, 2001「満洲国」の代表的な作家古丁の文学を考察する方法を検討した。彼を植民地下の抗日文学という枠ではなく東北地方独自の地方文学として捉えることを試みるに際して、本文に使用されている方言・語彙に注目した。本報告では古丁の小説「原野」について実施し、東北方言とされている語彙の使用を確認すると同時に、何を方言とするのか、使用頻度の多少の評価基準など、考察を進める上での問題点についても言及した。

日本中国学会第52回大会, Oct, 2000「満洲国」の作家古丁の文学について、日本の植民地下という抗日の枠組みで捉えるのではなく、魯迅に始まる中国現代文学が東北地方で独自に発展した形態であるとして理解することを試みた。「満洲国」文学の特徴の一つは古丁など主立った作家が地元出身者であることであり、中国の中央文壇が各地方出身者によって構成され、さらに北京や上海、重慶という政治の中心とともに移動したのに対して故郷に留まり続けたことからも地方文学の性格があらわれている。
